Best Book Series That I Have Read On 2015!

Hey guys! I’m baaaaaaaackkkkk!!!

About a few more hours to go till’ New Year’s Eve here in our country!

(Which is the wonderful and beautiful Philippines!)

and so…

giphy (21).gif

Since 2015 is coming to an end, I want to share to ya’ll the best book series that I’ve read on 2015. I’ve read lots of series for this year but these series totally blew my mind on so many levels.

So without further ado, Let’s start!

1.) The Lux Series by: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Totally blew my mind, heart, and soul. It’s so obvious right? Since most of my posts this month are related with this series. No more words to say since I’ve already rant about the series on my last posts.

2.) Legend Trilogy by: Marie Lu

This series totally made me not to care about the world while reading this. I was so desperate to end the series but not. Yeah, it was confusing but good gracious this series is so super ultra mega awesomsauce to the nth level. No more words to say but all I know is I love this series so much!

3.) The Mara Dyer Trilogy by: Michelle Hodkin

HA! This series tortured my emotional side but it was worth it. This series is such a mystery and you’ll never know what’s going to happened. The twist of events? Ugggh! it’s amazing yet it’ll definitely test your temper.

4.) Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children Trilogy

I already have bought the third book but I didn’t have the chance to read it and so that explains why there are only two books in the picture. The first two books made my reading slump go away and good gracious I haven’t expected that this series will be so good. So yeah, after how many months of neglecting this series I totally have read them and I have never ever regret my decision.

P.S. I’ll read the third book on 2016! That’s a promise!

That’s it for this post guys!

Thank you so much for reading this blog and I hope you enjoyed it!

Don’t forget to leave your thoughts down below and have a BLESSED NEW YEAR EVERYONE! 🙂

See ya’ll!

Books That I Planned To Buy On 2016!

Hey Guysssss!

Yep, more and more books to buy as what I’ve said on my Bookish New Year’s Resolution. I’ve already planned the books that I’ll buy last October and yes I like to plan ahead of time! 🙂

So let’s start!!!

1.)  The Throne of Glass Series by: Sarah J. Maas2015-10-10--13-14-15

Been raving for this series for how many months already but can’t buy the series because it’s not yet complete. Then I’ve changed my mind and my patience is already wearing out and so I’ll totally buy this series!

2.) The Lunar Chronicles by: Marissa Meyer

Who wouldn’t want this series? Well, I’ve been raving for this series for a very long time too and since it is now complete why not freaking grab it!

3.) The Unearthly Trilogy by: Cynthia Hand

Been planning to have this trilogy for a very long time but I haven’t got a chance to buy these books. So, I guess 2016 will be the time to buy them!

4.) The Alienated Trilogy by: Melissa Landers

YAAAY! Another alien series!!! I really have a weak spot for alien novels and since the third book will be released this August 2016 I’ll definitely buy them!

5.) The Young Elites Trilogy by: Marie Lu

After I’ve finished the Legend trilogy I was totally thrilled to read The Young Elites Trilogy. You see Marie Lu’s writing is superb and I know that this trilogy is superb too! The last book of the trilogy will be released on 2016 too!

6.) The Lone City Trilogy by: Amy Ewing

Uh huh… Another raved trilogy! It’s a freaking dystopian trilogy and I also have a weak spot for dystopian novels. Gotta have the series as soon as the third book will be released on 2016.

7.) Snow Like Ashes Trilogy by: Sarah Raasch

Well, I know that I should never judge a book by it’s cover but the cover has some kind of Throne of Glass vibe in it so I decided to have this series soon. It’s a fantasy novel and I also love fantasy novels but mostly Dystopian and Alien novels hailed but still I’ll surely have the series!

Third book will also be released this coming 2016!

8.) Hex Hall Trilogy by: Rachel Hawkins

A paranormal fantasy trilogy and that alone is tone of the reason why I’d like to have this series. I haven’t read lots of paranormal series and so I’ll start with this series and get addicted with paranormal stuffs.

9.) Everneath Trilogy by: Brodi Ashton

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a series that has some Greek mythology in it and I’ve missed the Greek world already and that’s why I’ll have these books!

10.) Razorland Trilogy by: Ann Aguirre

Dystopian wolrd + Zombies = PERFECTION! I’ve never read a dystopian novel with zombies in it. Well, I kinda have but they are not called zombies and I think there are some huge differences. I’ll truly prepare myself whenever I’ll read the series. A lot of people says that this trilogy is kinda scary. *AWOOOOOOO*

11.) The Sweet Series by: Wendy Higgins

I’ve been attracted to this series for how many months already and my desperation for this series increased especially when the first book was mentioned in the LUX series. So I’ve just decided yesterday to add the series on my list!

So that’s my plan for 2016 folks! I guess more books will be added on my plan and if so I’ll update you all about it!

I hope you enjoyed reading this postand don’t forget to tell me what are the books that you are planning to buy for 2016?

My Bookish New Year’s Resolution!

Our household is so busy right now preparing for New Year’s Eve! (Yeah, seriously I almost put Christmas Eve. tsk tsk)

Anyway, I’m planning to make three or more posts today and phew! I guess I’ll be dividing my time today wisely!

So, before this year will end I decided to make my new year’s resolution that I hope I’ll fulfill this 2016!

giphy (17)

So without further ado, let’s start! 🙂

giphy (18).gif

I really really need to read more books. Uhmmm… apparently I’ve decided to read 2 books within a week. Well, I must try because I still have my studies but I know I can do it! 🙂

giphy (19).gif

Uh huh… More blogs for 2016 guys! I’ve just started my blog last April and I’m planning to make more and more and more!

I know, my bad guys my bad. I haven’t been consistent on my blog because of  1.) School Stuffs, 2.) Laziness and 3.) Crappy Internet. But guys I’m so determined to be consistent on my blog and that’s a freaking big PROMISE to you all!

I actually have a bookstagram and I’m not that active and so now I’ve decided also to be active on it. Bookstagram community is so awesome and good gracious I keep on drooling over the books of the bookstagrammers. Yaaaass goals, goals, and goals.

How can I buy more books if I don’t save more money right? So, yeah save more money.

I’ve just started last Sunday and so I must do more next year!

Yep, there’s always a room for improvement. So why not grab it?

Apparently, I’ve been writing my own story last March and then I’ve been so stupid and clumsy and guess what? I’ve deleted my freaking story. I also deleted it on my recycle bin. So when I’ve searched for it again I’ve realized that I’ve deleted the wrong file. Man, what a waste but I have already a new characters for my new story. KUDOS 2016!

I’m lazy lazy lazy especially during weekends. It was supposed to be the time I’m going to make some posts on my blog but laziness hailed and that’s going to change this 2016!

Reading, blogging, bookstagramming, and school? Yeah, it’s about time to manage my time.

My my… what a bookish new year’s resolution!

So guys what are your BOOKISH NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION?

Waiting On Wednesday! #2

My second “Waiting On Wednesday” and probably the last for this year!

giphy (16)

Let me tell you again folks that “Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly event hosted by Jill of Breaking The Spine.

New WoW

So without further rants let’s start! 😀

Yaaas! Lady Midnight it is! Why I wouldn’t be excited for this?!

Lady Midnight

by: Cassandra Clare

1st book of The Dark Artifices Trilogy

Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry Books

Publication Date:  March 8, 2016

Pages:  720

“Los Angeles. It’s been five years since the events of the Mortal Instruments when Nephilim stood poised on the brink of oblivion and Shadowhunter Emma Carstairs lost her parents. After the blood and violence she witnessed as a child, Emma has dedicated her life to to discovering exactly what it was that killed her parents and getting her revenge.

Raised in the Los Angeles Institute with the Blackthorn family, Emma is paired as a parabatai with her best friend, Julian Blackthorn. A series of murders in the city catch her attention — they seem to have the same characteristics as the deaths of her parents. Could the murderer be the same person? And her attention isn’t the only one caught: someone has been murdering Downworlders as well. The Fair Folk make a deal with the Institute: if the Blackthorns and Emma will investigate the killings, they’ll return Mark Blackthorn to his home. The catch: they have only two weeks to find the killers. Otherwise it’s open war between faeries and Nephilim.

The Shadowhunters of the Institute must race against time to catch the killers, even as they begin to suspect the involvement of those closest to them. At the same time, Emma is falling in love with the one person in the world she’s absolutely forbidden by Shadowhunter Law to love. Set against the glittering backdrop of present-day Los Angeles, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches from the warlock-run nightclubs of the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica.”

Uh huh… Another series for the Shadowhunter Chronicles! *happy dance* I’ll never get tired living in the world of Shadowhunters. When I heard that Cassie was planning to add more series I was extremely glad and hyper because hey! I DON’T FREAKING WANT THE SERIES TO END!

Anyway, in the series you’ll still meet the characters of The Mortal Instruments series but the main protagonists of this series will be Emma Carstairs & Julian Blackthorn.

ANNNDD! GUYS DON’T FORGET TO STAY TUNED ON ABC FAMILY well it will no be called as ABC FAMILY anymore cause it is now FREEFORM, this coming  JANUARY 12, 2016 for the SHADOWHUNTERS TV SERIES!

That’s it for my “Waiting On Wednesday” post!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and can you please tell down below what are the books that you’ve been waiting to come out? 🙂

See ya’ll!

Favorite Quotes and Moments From Jennifer Armentrout’s Opposition!

Yowww! Yep, just finished my chores!

giphy (15)

So yeah, hello guys! I’m back and as what I’ve promise earlier I’m going to post my favorite quotes and moments of the awesomesauce last book of the LUX series.

So without further rants let’s start! 🙂

“Hell, I’d keep her in Bubble Wrap if it weren’t so damn creepy and also inconvenient, considering I had a terrible habit of obsessively popping the damn things until not a single bubble was left.”

“We were supposed to have tonight and tomorrow, and many weeks and months, but we didn’t have even another minute.”

“I’m game for anything with you, Daemon Black.”

“For once, I don’t hurt. I don’t worry. I want this.”

“It was perfect. She was perfect. And I was the luckiest guy.”

“Daemon kissed like he was staking a claim, but he already had me—all of me. My heart. My soul. My whole being.”

“That’s the most beautiful thing in the world. What’s in you.”

“It’s not like I’m going to run up and hug him.”
His expression turned bland. “I’d sure hope not. I might get jealous.”
“You’d get jealous if she hugged a tree,” Archer tossed out.
“Maybe.” Daemon coasted to a stop in a parking space behind the car. “I’m needy like that.”

“We could really use the Avengers right about now.”
“Screw that. We need Loki,” Daemon retorted.
General Eaton arched a brow. “Well, unfortunately, the Marvel Universe isn’t real, so…”

“Their eyes met then, and it was like they forgot that anyone else was in the room. It was just them. I understood the kind of connection they had. I had it with Daemon, but I wondered if we looked as love-struck as they did.
“You do,” Archer commented softly.
Ah, well, that was kind of embarrassing.
“Yes, it is,” he added.

“Oh, parts of my body got all kinds of tingly seeing that go down.
Kat whipped toward me, her eyes glowing from within. In that moment, she looked like a goddess— a goddess of vengeance.
If we weren’t in the middle of a fight, I’d have you up against a tree right now.

His eyes were beautiful when they met mine, luminous and clear, and a long moment stretched out between us. “I love you.”

So that ends my favorite quotes and moments from the book!

And let me shower you all with more Daemon and Katy! 🙂

Favorite Quotes and Moments From Jennifer Armentrout’s OPAL & ORIGIN!

Hello guys! 😀 I’ve just woke up and yeah lil’ bit grumpy here but it doesn’t stop me to make an another post. *wink wink*

Is that right? Another LUX blog post? Errr… Yes another LUX related blog post.

It’s so hard to move on from the series people and I’ll never ever move on from this series!

So let’s start away!

“The world works in messed up ways.”

“I like it when you’re happy, and if I can do something small, then I will.”

“I pretty much ran from the front of the bookstore to the new release section and that was all.”

“His dinner included three hamburgers and two orders of fries. I had no idea where those calories went. To his ego, maybe?”

“You make me think before I act. You make me want to be a better person-Luxen-whatever.”

“Oh, for the love of backwoods babies everywhere”

“I thought the whole thing with Blake would ruin this afternoon, but I had underestimated the magnetism of Daemon and his kisses.”

“This isn’t a book. This isn’t a paranormal fantasy or whatever the hell it is you read. There is no set plot or clear idea of where any of this is going. The enemies aren’t obvious. There are no guaranteed happy endings.”

“He kisses like he’s dying of thirst, and I’m water.”

“While you’re deep in something, you never say or do what you need to. It’s always after the fact, when it’s too late, that you realize what you should’ve said or done.”

“You really shouldn’t trust a soul in this game. Not when everyone has something to gain or lose.”

“But as long as everyone is together, we’ll figure something out.”

“Daemon snatched the yellow packages from my hands. “Oh! Books! You have books!”
I laughed as several people waiting in line looked over their shoulders. “Hand them over.”
He clutched them to his chest, making moony eyes. “My life is now complete.”
“My life would be complete if I could actually post a review on something other than the school library computers.”
I did that about twice a week since my latest laptop went to the big computer heaven in the sky.”

“A few seconds after he stepped out into the hallway and closed the door behind him, there was a fleshly smack and then Andrew yelling, “Ouch. What in the hell was that for?” “Your timing sucks on an epic level,” Daemon shot back.”

“Dawson shifted, dropping his head into his hand. “Do you ever stop talking?”
“When I’m sleeping,” Blake replied.
“And when you’re dead,” Daemon threw back. “You’ll stop talking when you’re dead.”
Blake’s lips thinned. “Point taken.”

“You grew up too fast, baby.”
Didn’t always feel that way, especially this morning when I couldn’t find my other flip-flop and I’d been, like, two seconds from kicking a fit.”

“Hey there, sleeping beauty…”
Over his shoulder, the sky had deepened to a denim blue. “Did you kiss me awake?”
“I did.” Daemon was propped on his side, using his arm to support his head. He placed his hand on my stomach and my chest fluttered in response. “Told you, my lips have mystical powers.”

“Did you think you could stop me? I’ll burn the world down to save her.”

“I want a years-worth of seconds and minutes with you. I want a decade’s worth of hours, so many that I can’t add them up.”

“I want to marry you because I’m in love with you, Kat. I will always be in love with you. That’s not going to change today or two weeks from now. I will be just as in love with you in twenty years as I am today.”

“So I was thinking, there’re eighty-six thousand, four hundred seconds in a day, right? There’re one thousand, four hundred and forty minutes in a day…There’re one hundred and sixty-eight hours in a week. Around eighty-seven hundred and then some hours in a year, and you know what?…I want to spend every second, every minute, every hour with you…I want a year’s worth of seconds and minutes with you. I want a decade’s worth of hours, so many that I can’t add them up.”

“Me and Katy look adorkable in extraterrestrial
highway shirts. You would just look stupid. You can thank me later.”

“I’ll do anything for her.”

“Daemon Black could be as prickly as a hedgehog having a really bad day, but underneath all that spindly armor, he was sweet, protective, and incredibly selfless.”

“Well then, it’s time to introduce the world to a little bit of extraterrestrial awesomeness.”

“…What about my life? My blog?” Okay, my blog was seriously the least of my worries, but dammit, it was important to me.

“Sometimes words were cheap. They could be powerful, but in those rare occasions like now, words meant nothing.”

“He can read your mind without even knowing.”
Dee’s face went from pale to bright cherry. “Oh God.”
She smacked her hands over her face. “Well, the whole time we were downstairs, I was picturing him naked.”

“There’s only one thing I want.”
“And that is?”
“I want to see Kat.”
Nancy’s smile didn’t fade. “And what are you willing to do to accomplish that?”
“Anything,” I said without hesitation, and I meant it. “I will do anything, but I want to see Kat first and I want to see her now.”

“I’ve been waiting a long time to run tests on someone like you, ” he said to Daemon, voice high-pitched.
Daemon arched a brow. “Another fanboy. I have them everywhere.”
I muttered, “Only you would see that as a good thing.”
He shot me a grin.”

“I’m Dee Black. I’m the sister of the douchebag known as Daemon.” She smiled brightly. “But you probably already know that.”
“That’s he’s a douchebag or that he’s your brother?” Archer asked innocently. “The answer is yes to both.”

“I promise you that this isn’t going to be our future, Kitten. I will give that to you—a normal life.”

Her eyes glistened. “I don’t expect a normal life. I just expect a life with you.”

“Luc moved to the center of the floor. “I don’t have all day, guys. I have things to do. A nap I want to take this afternoon. There’s a new movie out on Netflix I want to watch, and a goddamn coupon for a free Whopper Jr. that’s calling my name.”

“An intercom popped on and Paris dais, “Knock. Knock.”
Static and then a woman’s voice said, “Who’s there?”
Kat raised a brow at me, and I shrugged.
“The interruption cow,” Paris said, glancing at Luc, who shook his head.
From the intercom, “The inter-”
“Moooooo!” Pars dais, snickerin.
Kat giggled.
Archer rolled his eyes and shook his head.
There was an audible huff from the intercom. “That was stupid. The gate is opening. Give ist a sec.”
“That was pretty lame” I said.
Paris chuckled. “I saw it on the Internet. Made me laugh. I got more. Want to hear them?”
“No.” My rebuttal was joined by Archer’s. Something we agreed on. Huh. Go figure.
“Too bad.” Paris eased forward as the gated split, spreading wide. “That wasn’t even my best one.”

Yeah! So that’s it guys! I might do another post of my favorite quotes and moments but it will be for Opposition. The last and the aweomesauce book of the series!

I hope you enjoyed this post and don’t forget to leave your thoughts down below!

See ya’ll later!

The LUX Series Book Talk!

DAAYYUUUUMMM! It’s so obvious that I can’t get enough with the freaking series!

Hey you guys! I’m back again! 🙂

giphy (14)

I’ve made a book review for the series earlier and still I want to talk no, I’m not going to talk cause I’ll actually rant about the series.

I was totally curious about the models of the book covers so I’ve searched them and I was surprised that they have an interview on Jennifer’s blog. I’ve got those photos on her website too and turned them into GIF’s.

So the model who portrayed Daemon Black was Pepe Toth and wow! He is so totally perfect for Daemon Black and the model who portrayed Katy was Sztella Tziotziosz. Man, I can’t even pronounce her name! And she’s so beautiful.

So if you want to read their interview on Jennifer’s website and please do read it because it was so fun and well you’ll discover lots of things as in lots about them

Here’s the link:

Wanna stalk them? Here are their Twitter & IG accounts.

Yeah, you’re welcome folks.

So much for that let’s proceed with the book talk or should I say rant? Anyway, my book talk/rant are composed of questions that I have made and since then my book talk/rant will always have these questions. Unless I’ll add an extra question.

Who is your favorite character?

Katy oh Katy of course! She might be stubborn and annoying sometimes I still love her character. I can relate with Kat’s character on so many levels specifically her love and passion for books and her love for her family. I can really appreciate her closeness and bond with her mother because I’m a mother’s girl too. She’s so feisty and I love it because it’s an extra point for her badassery. I love how she thinks first before she goes into action but most of all the most remarkable thing that I love about her is kindness and bravery.

Any new book boyfriend?

It’s so obvious isn’t it?

He can be an asshat but he can also be the most soft hearted and gentleman in the whole universe! Daemon is so kind and protective with his love ones. His love is so strong and remarkable and he’ll even burn the world just to keep you safe and sound. He does have a humor and good gracious I can’t really decide if his arrogance is cute or annoying. He’s an ideal type of guy aside for his H-A-W-Tness, Awesomeness, and handsomeness he has the most kind and understanding heart.

Who is your favorite supporting character ?

Oh holy baby aliens everywhere! I was imagining Dee as Jourdan Miller and I didn’t expect that Jourdan would be perfect. (Jourdan Miller is the ANTM’S Cycle 20 winner. Who knew I was watching ANTM along time ago HAHAHA!) Well, so much for that Dee is my favorite because she’s an example of a true friend. Dee and Katy went through lots of rough as in ROUGH challenges. It was pretty hard because their friendship was really tested.  Even though their friendship was somehow tainted with negative things they still forgave each other and comes back into each others arm.  I’m also in love with Dee’s jolliness and hyperness.

What is your favorite book in the series?

Don’t get me wrong guys the other books were awesomesauce as a lasagna with so much cheese in it but Opposition is my favorite. Well, because it contains the most awaited happy ending and the the justice the FREAKING JUSTICE that we all have been waiting for. The characters deserved that justice. 🙂 That’s why I love Jennifer Armentrout!

What is your favorite sweetest scene in the series?

Hmmm… I guess the scene where Daemon asked Katy to marry him and their very rush wedding. Don’t worry guys they’ll have a proper wedding after their problems were solved. 🙂

What is your favorite kickass scene in the series?

Man, how about the fight they created in Vegas? It was so awesome and a lot of kickass things happened. I can imagine the fight vividly I was like watching a movie. Never mind the tragedies tho.

*Alien powers here!* *Alien powers there!* *Alien powers everywhere!*

And if you’ve read or finished the series already I have something for you to see.

Just click the link and  you’ll see it’s a gift from our awesome author Jennifer L. Armentrout.

But for those who haven’t finished or read the series YET PLEASE DON’T CLICK THE LINK. *SPOILER AHEAD*

That’s it for this post! I really hope that you enjoyed reading this post and might as well convinced you to read the series. (For those who haven’t read the series.)

Don’t forget to leave your thoughts down below people!

See ya’ll! 🙂

-Shawna 😀

Hey guys!

I’m so excited to do this book review! Who wouldn’t be? If it’s aliens and DAEMON BLACK we will be talking about.

I’ve finished the entire series as in the Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, Origin, and Opposition but in the last book of the series contains a novella called Shadows. I’m halfway through it already and this novella is a prequel of the series. It contains the story of Dawson and Beth and how the craziness in their lives started.

Man, I truly prefer the last edition of  the series! I find them more attractive but anyway the story inside the books are the most important.

So let’s start with the review!

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Beginnings: Obsidian & Onyx = 800 Pages

Consequences: Opal & Origin = 800 pages

Opposition = 352 pages

Beginnings: Obsidian & Onyx = June 3rd 2014 by Entangled: Teen

Consequences: Opal & Origin = June 3rd 2014 by Entangled: Teen

Opposition = August 5th 2014 by Entangled Teen

Beginnings: Obsidian & Onyx

Consequences: Opal & Origin

Why wouldn’t I give 5 stars for all of these books? Good gracious, if I could give 100 stars out of 100 stars then I would! I didn’t expect much when I started the series but I was hyperly pumped up to read the series. I even wanted to burn the world when I went into a bookstore and they went out of stock. It took me 1 month before I owned the books. I suffered reading slump because I was already desperate to read the book. You know aliens I really do have a thing for alien and I was certainly intrigued why do people keep swooning on Daemon Black.

The first book was great and well I did see some things coming so I didn’t get surprised or mind blown but I was already fond with Katy’s character. She’s a blogger and well she’s like me like us obsessed with books and I can really relate with her passion and love for books. I do love her character when she gets feisty and how she can easily utter a curse especially when she’s in front of Daemon. Daemon, well he’s H-A-W-T no one can deny that but he’s so grumpy and it really annoyed me. Don’t worry about that because as the story continues you can understand why he’s acting such an well what would Katy say? ASSignment. (Good job for those people who understand my lame joke. Thank you!)

In the second book well this is where the roller coaster of emotions starts. I can really sense that there’s something wrong with Katy’s new friend Blake but I’ll hush it because you know spoilers. Katy was so stubborn in this book and I was confused if I should hate her or not but it’s not her fault anyway. I can’t even say it’s Daemon’s fault either because he have his reasons. I was impressed on how Daemon truly show his love for Katy and well Katy is Katy the stubborn one and the confused one. The characters in this book were starting to grow up and go out from their shell and safe zone. Secrets and lies keeps on coming that will make you shout and cry for JUSTICE.

Third book! This is the time when your roller coaster get stucked in the highest part of the ride. (Got what I mean?) As you could see I was expecting that the book will go smoothly and the characters will succeed in their mission but what the hell did just happened?! The world turned upside down hell left and right too! IT BLEW MY MIND INTO MILLION PIECES AND IT MADE ME WANT TO STAB MY FREAKING TEDDY BEAR. Holy baby aliens indeed but don’t get me wrong guys than certain twist made me love the series even more and guess what? I learned that Jennifer L. Armentrout is sooooooo UNPREDICTABLE!

I was already desperate to finish the fourth book after what happened with the third one. In this book you could already tell that the characters changed and grew up. They are starting to accept the reality but they are still fighting for what is right. Well, the secrets, anomalies, and the purpose of the enemy will be discovered in this book which will make you think on which side should you choose. Yes, reading the series will make you part of the story, books to that to us. The book is so nerve wracking and sweet (HA! sweet indeed!) but you’ll be relaxed in the end. The third book was justified in this book. Well, you could say that it was justified but not really because— and relaxed? NOT REALLY because—! Good gracious, Jennifer L. Armentrout is really UNPREDICTABLE. Believe me!

The ultra mega awesome fifth book! All I could hear in this book was the KABOOM! BOOM! BOOM! and BOOM! My my the roller coaster might explode already!  Oh, the emotions, the chaos, the confusion. Man, you could totally say that the character can already stand on their own and their bonds were getting stronger. NOTHING CAN STOP AND BEAT THEM. I’m totally speechless and the justice that we all have been waiting for? Well, our awesome author granted it. JUSTICE WAS SERVED AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Phew! The series doesn’t only value the love for your other half but it also values the love for your family and friends. You can see it through the love of Katy for his mum and dad. As for Daemon you can see it through the love for their siblings. Friendship is remarkable between Dee and Katy and by the end of the book they have all formed a circle of friends which made me want to cry so loud because I’m so proud of them.

For me, the series tells me that love can be either dangerous or kind in any different kinds but it’s up to your choice on how you deal with it but the most important lesson that I’ve learned in this series is accepting reality will make you grow up and more open minded into possibilities in life.

That’s it for my book review! Hope you enjoyed reading this post and don’t forget to leave your thoughts down below! 🙂

See ya all!

Reorganizing My Bookshelf!

Hey guys! I’m back and I’m so not on my mind right now!

giphy (12)

So last Sunday I filmed a video while I was reorganizing my bookshelf. Holy baby aliens everywhere! My mind can’t even register that I’ve filmed a video already. Anyway, it was awkward and a nerve wracking experience. I’m a camera shy type person and it took lots of energy for me to have this video. But in the end it was worth it especially that my lil’ sis helped me in this video.

So yeah, guys I’m so sorry if I made some mistakes. FORGIVE me! THIS IS THE VERY FIRST VIDEO THAT I HAVE MADE FOR MY BLOG! I still have lots of work to do to improve my videos and my blog and I’m so excited to go deeper. 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this blog and don’t forget to leave your thoughts down below folks!

See ya!

Favorite Quotes and Moments From Jennifer Armentrout’s OBSIDIAN & ONYX!

Hello folks! 😀

I’m back and I’m sorry if I haven’t posted anything for the last three days.

GOOD NEWS! I’ve already finished the second book of the LUX series last Friday and now I’m currently reading the third book.

Which is becoming more intense and filled with nerve wracking chapters.

This series is very humorous which made me not to have a nervous breakdown while reading it. Seriously guys, the events of this series are very intense and surprising that will make your heart stop for a minute or worse for an hour.

Katy and Daemon is a very “awesomesauce” combination! Good gracious JUST READ THE SERIES AND YOU’LL KNOW IT! (For those who already have read the series, I know you are sympathizing with me.)

Now, here are some quotes and moments that I want to share to you all  that I love and made me laugh while reading the first two books of the series.

“I’ve always found that the most beautiful people, truly beautiful inside and out, are the ones who are quietly unaware of their effect.”

“Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of hot boys.”

“The day my internet was hooked up was better than having a hot guy check out my butt and ask for my phone number.”

“If she was mine, I’d cherish every inch of her. And I wanted to. Now”

“I was feeling the height of bitchiness.”

“I was always able to lose myself in reading. Books were a necessary escape I always gladly jumped into headfirst.”

“You’re perfect for me.”

“I’ve always avoided confrontation in the past, but this guy was flipping my bitch switch like nothing else.”

“This was stupid, but I was doing it.”

“People tend to look on the beliefs of the past as being primitive and unintelligent, yet we are seeing more truth in the past every day.”

“I don’t read too much. There’s no such thing as that.”

“What done is done. We need to move forward.”

“I liked him better when he’d lost the ability to speak.”

“How can something that’s a part of me hurt?”

“Many men wanted to be with her for her beauty and her rank. But she wanted an equal.”

“You do realize I love a challenge?”

“Anyway, back to the kids.”

“Well, one is a girl who looks about your age, and there’s a boy.” She grinned as she stood. “He’s a hottie.”

A tiny piece of egg caught in my throat. It was seriously gross to hear Mom talking about boys my age. “Hottie? Mom that’s just weird.”

“Once I got home, though, and saw several packages on my front porch, all the crap from the day disappeared. A few had smiley faces on them. Squealing, I grabbed the boxes. Books were inside– new release books I’d preordered weeks ago.”

“I hurried upstairs and powered up my laptop. I checked on the review I’d posted last night. No comments. People sucked. But I did gain five new followers. People rocked.”

“I checked out your blog.’
Oh. Dear. Baby. Jesus. How did he find it? Wait. More importantly was the fact he HAD found it. Was my blog now googleable? That was awesomesauce with an extra heaping of sauce.”

“His hands slid around my head, pulling me back to his mouth. There was a cracking sound in the house. A fissure of electricity shot through the room. Something smoked. I didn’t care.”

“My eyelids flickered open again and focused on Daemon. He had his eyes closed as he leaned his head against the wall but I knew he was listening to everything. Dee talked about taking me home if my mom couldn’t leave. I was struck again by the twins. Daemon and Dee didn’t belong here, but I did. I could blend easily with the whitewashed walls and pale green curtains. I was as plain as the linoleum, but these two seemed to light the room with their flawless beauty and demanding presence.
Ah, the medication was kicking in. I was poetic. And high. Bliss.

“When I did show up next door, at 6:34, it sounded like World War III had erupted in the house. I’d let myself in since no one answered the damn door.
“I can’t believe you ate all the ice cream, Daemon!”
I cringed and stopped inside the dining room. There was no way I was going into that kitchen.
“I didn’t eat all of it.”
“Oh, so it ate itself?” Dee shrieked so loudly I thought I heard the rafters in the ceiling shake. “Did the spoon eat it? Oh wait, I know. The carton ate it.”
“Actually, I think the freezer ate it,” Daemon responded dryly.
I grinned when I heard what sounded like the empty container hitting what suspiciously sounded like flesh.”

“The arrogant half smile I disliked so much tipped up one corner of his swollen lips. “You’re barely glowing now.”

“In your dreams, Kitten.” He smirked. “Oh wait, I’m already starring in those, aren’t I?”
I rolled my eyes.
“Nightmares, Daemon. Nightmares.”

“You could’ve left me there and ran, like I said. But instead you came back and you helped me. You didn’t have to.”
“I … I couldn’t leave you there.” I averted my gaze. “It wouldn’t have been right. And I would’ve never been able to forgive myself.”

“She’s a stupid-‘

‘Be careful what you say next.’ Daemon’s voice was low but carried. ‘Because what you don’t know and what you can’t possibly understand will get a bolt of light in your face.’

My eyes widened, as did pretty much everyone’s in the room. Ash swallowed thickly and turned her cheek, letting her blonde hair cover her face.

‘Daemon,’ Mr Garrison said, stepping forward. ‘Threatening one of your own for her? I didn’t expect this from you.”

“You jerk.”

Grinning, he backed down the steps. “I’ll see you at noon, Kitten.”

“I hate you,” I hissed.

“The feeling’s mutual.” He glanced over his shoulder. “Twenty bucks says you wear a once-piece swimsuit.”

He was insufferable.”

“I’m not leaving, Kitten. You’re going to do this.”
My mouth opened as did the door behind us. Stomach dropping, I turned to see Mom standing there in all her fuzzy-bunny pajama glory. Oh, for the love of God.”

“Doesn’t he own a shirt?” I asked, grabbing a spade. “Unfortunately, I don’t think so. Not even in the winter. He’s always running around half-dressed.” She groaned. “Its disturbing that I have to see so much of his…skin. Yuck.” Yuck for her. And hot damn for me.”

“How long have you been standing there?”
“Just long enough to see you give Daemon the middle finger.”
“He deserved it.”

“I didn’t tell you this because I’m sure you would’ve changed your mind about the dress.”
“What?” I frowned. “Does it make my butt look big?”
She laughed. “No. You looked stunning in it.”
“Then what’s the deal?”
Her smile turned downright mischievous. “Oh, you know, just that the color red is Daemon’s favorite.”

“If there is anything, there is us.
You and me. No one else.”

“I always liked you. From the moment you first flipped me off.”

“I could always give you a teaser. You bookish people love teasers, don’t you?”

“Oh holy alien babies everywhere!”

“Oh, I still want to strangle you. But I’m insane. You’re crazy. Maybe that’s why. We just make crazy together.”

“I understood books. I did not understand boys—especially alien boys.”

“Dogeared pages were Antichrist of book lovers everywhere.”

“Kitten, your mind is a terrible and dirty place.”

“Memories, even bittersweet ones, are better than nothing.”

“Can I just hold you? That’s all…that’s all I want.”

“I would do anything to keep her safe. Kill. Heal. Die. Anything. Because she was my everything.”

“Okay, you’re prone to moments of great dickdom, but you’re not that bad.”

“Words were the most powerful tool. Simple and so often underestimated. They could heal. They could destroy.”

“Daemon was a total babe, but he was stab-worthy, which at times zeroed out the babe part. Not always, though.”

“Cookie?” he offered, holding a cookie full of chocolate chips.
Upset tummy or not, there was no way I could refuse that. “Sure.”
His lips tipped up one side and he leaned toward me, his mouth inches from mine. “Come and get it.”
Come and get…? Daemon placed half the cookie between those full, totally kissable lips.
Oh, holy alien babies everywhere…”

“Say it.”
“Say what?”
“Tell me what you told me earlier.”
“I love you.”
“That’s all I ever need to hear.”
“Those three words?”
“Always those three words.”

“Your mail could’ve waited.” Daemon followed me into the kitchen. “What is it? Just books?”
Grabbing the OJ from the fridge, I sighed. People who didn’t heart books didn’t understand.”

“I kissed him softly, sliding my hands into his silky locks, letting the pieces slide through my fingers. I tasted in him my own rising desire, my own need and heartache. Thrilling. Frightening. I pulled back.
“Kitten,” he said again, voice strained. “You don’t get to do that and then stop. That’s not how it works.”
I stared at him, my breath stalling in my lungs.
“Not when you’re mine.” Daemon backed us up and slid down the wall, pulling me on his lap so I was straddling him. “And you’re mine.”

“Look at the time.” I tipped my chin toward the clock. “It’s past midnight. It’s January second. You lost.”
For several moments he stared at the clock like it was an Arum he was about to blast into the next county and then his eyes found mine. Daemon smiled. “No. I didn’t lose. I still won.”

“What? I’m not suppose to date or hang out with anyone now?”
Daemon smiled. “Anyone human, yes.”
“Whatever.” I shook my head, standing. “This is a stupid conversation. I’m not dating anyone anyway, but if I were, I wouldn’t stop just because you said so.”
“You wouldn’t?” His hand shot out, tucking back a strand of hair behind my ear. “We’ll just have to see about that.”
I stepped sideways, keeping distance between us. “There’s nothing to see.”
Challenge filled his eyes. “If you say so, Kitten.”
Folding my arms, I sighed. “This isn’t a game.”
“I know, but if it were, I’d win.”

“Because I know.” Daemon appeared in front of me, eyes narrowed. He thumped his hand off his chest, directly above his heart. “Because I know what I feel in here. And I’m not the type of person to run from anything, no matter how hard it is. I’d rather face-plant against a brick wall than live for the rest of my life wondering what could’ve been. And you know what? I don’t think you were the type to run either. Maybe I was wrong.”

“You are a terrible liar. You do want this. Just as badly as I do.”
My mouth opened, but no words came out.
“You want this as badly as you want to go to ALA this winter.”
Now my jaw was on the floor. “You don’t even know what ALA is!”
“American Library Association midwinter event,” he said, grinning proudly. “Saw you obsessing over it on your blog before you got sick. I’m pretty sure you said you’d give up your firstborn child to go.”
Yeah, I kind of did say that.
Daemon eyes flashed. “Anyway, back to the whole you wanting me part.”
I shook my head, dumbfounded.
“You do want me.”
Taking a deep breath, I struggled with my temper… and my amusement. “You are way too confident.”
“I’m confident enough to wager a bet.”
“You can’t be serious.”
He grinned. “I bet that by New Year’s Day, you will have admitted that you’re madly, deeply, and irrevocably—”
“Wow. Want to throw another adverb out there?” My cheeks were burning.
“How about irresistibly?”
I rolled my eyes and muttered, “I’m surprised you know what an adverb is.”
“Stop distracting me, Kitten. Back to my bet—by New Year’s Day, you’ll have admitted that you’re madly, deeply, irrevocably, and irresistibly in love with me.”
Stunned, I choked on my laugh.
“And that you dream about me.” He released my arm and folded his, cocking an eyebrow. “I bet you’ll even admit that. Probably even show me your notebook with my name circled in hearts—”
“Oh, for the love of God…”
Daemon winked. “It’s on.”

“Kat tipped her head back, meeting my stare. Her throat worked on her next words. “I think I might love you.”
Air punched out of my lungs. I held her tight, and I knew right then I would burn down the whole universe for her if I had to.
I would do anything to keep her safe. Kill. Heal. Die. Anything. Because she was my everything.”
