Weird Stuffs I do as A Bookworm And a Fangirl!

Hey guys! I’m still here and I’m already dreading for Monday to arrive. *sigh*

Anyway, we all knew that as a fellow bookworms and fangirls/fanboys we all  have that weird side hidden among ourselves. (No, not really it is actually obvious for me.)

So now let me share to you all what are the weird stuffs I do as a bookworm and a fangirl.

1.) Bookshelf Paranoid.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I always check my bookshelf every hour or so. I guess my reason is to check if my books are still complete and intact. Guess what? Before I went outside of our house I always check my bookshelf first and stares at my books for how many minutes. Then if I arrive home I rush into my bedroom and check my bookshelf and stares at my books again.

Gaaah! Please don’t get me wrong I’m just protective with my books because they are part of my life, I love them, and I can’t live without them. Yeah, those words are too cheesy to say or to type but it’s true. I KNOW YOU CAN FEEL IT, I KNOW YOU AGREEEEEE SO PLEASE LET ME HEAR OR LET ME READ YOUR APPROVALS!!!

(Ooops… sorry that went a little overboard.)

2.) Wild Imagination.

Do you know that feeling when your teachers gives you an essay about world wars, the government, leading a country and other stuffs about the world. Then your head shouts “THE HUNGER GAMES!!” “DIVERGENT!!””THE MAZE RUNNER!!” and more dystopian novels. Ahhh!!! It’s the most wonderful feeling I guess aside from getting and reading books.

Seriously, it’s wonderful because lots of ideas will pop in your head and your brain is working too fast that you can’t write some of your ideas anymore and I feel so INVINCIBLE. Afterwards, you’ll be shocked because you have already filled lots of pages already. I swear, you’ll be proud.

3.) Suddenly Becoming Energetic.

During class discussions we can’t avoid being bored or being sleepy. Then suddenly your teacher mentions a certain book that you’ve read, movie adaptations or your fandom. BAM! You’ll get awake with bursting energy.

Here’s my situation.

Teacher: “Blah blah blah blah…”

Me: “Ughhh! so boring.”

Teacher: “Blah blah blah blah…”

Me: *closes my eyes*

Teacher: “Who have watched The Longest Ride already?”

Me: *opens my eyes and shouts* ME!!!! MEEEE!!!! MEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone: *Stares at me like I’m a lunatic.*

Me: Smiles widely and wishes to do a dance.

Anyway, that was not the only situation I’ve encountered I have more but I’ve already forgot some of the details.

And If you’re wondering if I really did shout? Yes, I did. 😀 HAHAHA!

4.) Know-It-All.

KNOW-IT-ALL? BIG WORD and seems impossible but when your classmates and friends asked you about a certain book and a movie adaptation? IT BECOMES INCREDIBLY POSSIBLE. I felt extremely happy when someone asked me but somehow I also felt some greediness because it’s like opening up yourself with them so sometimes I leave some details behind and just told them “Why don’t you read the book or watch the movie again? but I prefer for you to read the book first it will be the best.” Then they’ll just nod and go away.

I guess my classmates will just talk to me if they asked me something about those topics. They’ll be like “Just ask her and you’ll know.” It’s not bad at all I can feel some pleasure sharing my passion but greediness can’t be avoided. I HATE TOO WHEN THEY’LL TELL ME “Nah, never mind I’m too lazy too read.” Me inside: “HOW DARE YOU TO SAY THAT IN FRONT OF MY FACE?!?!” *sigh*

5.) Eavesdropper.

This incidents usually happens in a bookstore. Good gracious I almost talked to a stranger because of eavesdropping. You know that feeling when they’re talking about your favorite fandom and they just don’t know what they are talking about well they have some but pleaseeeeeee… just stop talking or I might not control this mouth of mine.

My situation was they were talking about The Mortal Instruments:City of Bones movie adaptation. They were talking about how the movie failed and other hurtful stuffs about the movie (pleaseee….my heart is not that strong to control anger!) The thing was they kept on babbling about hurtful stuffs and they didn’t know that the books will be adapted into a TV series. I really want to tell them to stop criticizing the movie because the books will be a TV series anyway. WAAAH! Am I the only one who feels this way? I hope not.

Well, that’s it for today guys! I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post. 🙂

See ya’ll tomorrow and please don’t forget to leave your thoughts down below.

And guys… could you please share your weird stuffs that you do? please please pleaseeeee! 😀

Thank you!

-Shawna 🙂

  1. Oooh I’ve been an Eavesdropper too, my ears seem to have a radar for people talking about books. I had to fight the urge to join in or argue with people when they’re talking about events in a book that they are just wrong about all.the.time XD Regarding my bookshelf, I’m not paranoid about it but I like staring at it for a few minutes and admiring the books I have, haha! My bookshelf is faaaaar from organized but it’s fun to be reminded how lucky I am to have the books ❤

    • Eavesdropper all the way! HAHAHA It’s so hard to avoid eavesdropping especially when they are talking about your favorite book and I can’t avoid being paranoid over my bookshelf. *hides* I actually agree with you staring at your books reminds you of how lucky you are to have them. So I must take good care of them and make sure that they are safe. HAHAHA
